Dreamtime 96 National Billy Can Award -- Winner -- This was a national competition open to all art forms and sponsored by Qantas, The Australia Council and Tourism Australia to promote Australia and its art and tourism internationally.
Bernina International Calender Competition -- Winner -- 1994 and 1995
National Australasian Creative Challenge 2009 -- Finalist -- This piece of Machine embroidery titled * Aussie Icons is currently on a world exhibition tour and an article about its creation has been published in the book Galleria of Machine Artistry and Quilting

The Adelaide City Council commissioned Cheryl to produce a work entitled "Lonely Heart" This was given by the Lord Mayor to the Mayor of Himeji as part of the Sister Cities relationship.

Cheryl held a solo exhibition in Beltana House Adelaide of her thread paintings Acrylic paintings and art to wear garments . In excess of 400 people attended. She is planning another exhibition this year.
